View Full Version : HTR2 April Update

The HTR2, April 8, 2010, update includes the following =
= Trainer Report Card updated with more realistic Grades for forward prediction (view the Extract in the Subscriber Zone)
= NLog Trainer stat items updated to correspond with the Trainer Grade corrections above
= NLog adds 'TOUR' into the Buzz --> longshot and tournament picks (read my post in Tournament Forum)
= NLog Buzz adds new items such as "TopPed" and "TJHOT" for added appraisal strength
= NLog has some bug fixes such as the N# (number of negatives) column now correct
This version update does not expand Robot2 or the Export. But we will begin that process after the Ky Derby is over and I'll ask for user suggestions. The summer update for HTR2 will include new innovations for working with speed figures.

The HTR2 upgrade is ready and you can update quickly by running HTR2MaxvelRobot2Setup which is also located in the Subscriber Zone (http://htr.horsedata.com/HTR_Protected/membersonly.htm).
Click on the link for the installation and then click RUN (not Save) to automatically install. Be sure you close any of the HTR programs before running, especially HTR2.exe.

Go ahead and delete HTR2.exe from your C:\htr directory and run the full install again.
CMarvin: I will do a full install without the font and email it to you. At least try to email it to you. If that don't work I will put it up for download.

I tried deleting the htr2.exe and it is still showing the old install. The last date modified in my file manager also has the March 10th date.

Sorry about the problem.
I am trying to install everything on a new computer. I put all disks from the old computer in here so I would have all the data. Trouble is all those old drives have new drive letters and I am having big problems trying to keep it straight.
It also helps when everything else is going to hell in a handbasket. :)
Let me know if you are still having problems with this one.

Send me an email of what goes into what table.
If I can find it, I should still have an old copy of your database.

You are going to have to be more specific about what you are exporting.
I have very little memory of what you were doing. I have to relearn it from scratch.

I'm getting registering lucon.ttf error on desktop with XP. The font is already installed.
Rick
13th April 2010, 04:20.23 PM
That font has been in each version of Windows since WinXP.
The reason it is in there now is because some of the past full installs of HTR would uninstall that font when HTR was uninstalled.
I am starting to think it is causing more trouble including it than the few people that will run into problems because it is not there.
Time to remove the font from the full install!!!
Let me know if you had more problems with the full install than just a message that the font error.
Thanks

Good idea Rick, remove Lucon from the installation,
but keep the other one handy if anyone needs it, i just talked to a guy yesterday with an 6 year old computer and original WinXP that had our old install on it. What a mess.
Also, Rick, can you put the individual links to the latest versions into the Subscriber Zone?
HTR2.exe
HTR2010.exe (same program, different name)
Robot2.exe
MAXVEL.EXE
thanks
Rick

I'll just remove them from the regular site and put them in the Subscriber Zone.
I tend to forget some of them when they are posted in more than one place.
