Ken, safe travels back home. I just went to check to see if I recoved my investment. I finished either 41 or 42. (did not have glasses and since I am height challenged was not sure of my counting) At least in top 10% so I got back almost my entry fee. Bryan did not do any good today. It was an experience for us as 3 days do get a bit exhausting. It was great seeing many of the Htr folks here. Looked like not only you and Mayos but Paul and Daven were on the first column. Although I spoke with Buckley not sure where he finished. Nice visiting with all. Was a bit frustrated at end of day so did not remember all of the people I was looking up to but to any I missed please know I send my congrats. Talked with Sally and if they could have just gotten everything on the same ticket they would have had a super finish but we all spread too thin some times.

I heard a rumor from Spike, HTR may have another Fountain of Youth Challenge celebration again this year. I hope so as it appears Donnie may have blazed the HTR trail. The "juice is pretty good!!!"

Also another rumor I heard which I am thrilled about is it appears there has been, within the past week, a real surge in Tour membership as there was a very large participation in the free Tour event today. Once again thanks to Mike for his leadership on Players Committee, everyone please know the "volunteer committee" really is working very hard to speak for the entire player community. Although we are not the decision makers, I am confident we have the ear and the respect of the NTRA. Although we do not always agree we do have a common interest of a love of the game from the player's stand point. We are moving in the right direction. It is always nice to head home with a warm fuzzy feeling of being with our horse friends.

Judy-
Nope....sorry to report....the BigDon on the board was not I. I was definitely an "also-ran". Very encouraging fer sure to see the number of players we were up against in the FOY! Congrats to all who cashed at The Series!

Big congrats to all fellow HTR players who cashed.

What a 3 day grind...never thought I would say this but I am looking forward to selling pizzas for a few days.

To Paul Parker: I failed to mention in our conversation at the Orleans that I more than welcome your input anytime and thanks for thinking of me.

Regards,

Bryan Wagner

Donnie- I guess I was a bit tired when I made the post. I was referring to hearing HTR TomCat may have won as you I think were the one who blazed the trail last year by winning if I remember correctly.

Dang, Tom...was hoping the "tcat" at the top of the standings was you....I was afraid others on here would equate the BigDon player to me....I wish they would...he finished much better than I.

Got the message below from Doug Dodson (11th place) via email and he asked me to post it. Keep in mind that Doug walks away with over 10 grand from this contest - thanks to the day money - that's better than almost everyone else did. So Doug, all in all, it was a success. Interesting that his experience mirrors Brian Troop at the NHC, except that Troop didn't have to deal with a 3rd day!

2-20-Sat. Last day of HPWS at the O'rlean's 600 players time: just after lunch about 1'00-1;30 pm. I walk over to look at leader board scores of early tracks WOW-1100+ to 1700+---these boy's are serious--this is the Major leauges Son ; and at the bottom of leader board tourney leader at 2880 my total is still in the lead that's good news, but their coming on like a rocket ship.CRUNCH TIME IS HERE.now I figure to win you need a cap bomb or two 20.00 dollar wins. at this point (attitude changed) (lost focus)(go on tilt) abandon Game plan) check tickets not worried still have 6 bullets to fire. its now 2:00 pm.time to make wagers 2.05 GP 9th #2 out 2.27 SA 5th #11 out---2.38 GP 10th #4 out---2.53 HAW 8th#4 out---3.10 GP 11th #16 lose---3.14 SA7th#8 lost...Time to go home.Hope this will help HTR associates Listen to the wise words & experience of KEN & others when the PRESSURE OF CRUNCH TIME STARTS they have the experience to advise holding bullets until the late races, which sure rang true for SA-8 and GG-9 in this contest : I:LL close with an old time saying QUITTER"NEVER WIN &WINNERS NEVER QUIT. So I hope to win next time out. best to everyone. DD.
