In reading through the old Reports I come across @ as a factor - has it been renamed? Any help or cite to another article... no posts here on @ . Thanks in advance !

@ = lost last start by 20 or more lengths, possibly a "dnf", "lost rider", "fell", "vanned off" etc. Or perhaps a more innocent flop in the mud or while outclassed.

Gets your attention to look at the previous start. Also listed in the Light Bulb comments as "Finished Up the Track in Last --?"

Don't be so quick to toss them. A negative like this can have a nice price trade-off. Especially when the loss is due to tossing a jock or pulling up before a layoff.

NJ is right, "NO Big Losers" (or @) is already an eliminator in the Robot2 Negative module.

But it turns out to be one of the least effective.

I'm guessing K=9 picks up the majority of those that have no chance to win after a @ loss, and is a much better elimination to rid the horses that ran up the track last time without an excuse.
