We have JULY 19 updates of

ROBOT2.EXE added the third of my trio of exclusive filters, the new one is "BTL Last Out"

THE ROBOT2 USER GUIDE (PDF) is also ready.

You'll find all this stuff in the usual places, if you can't find them, leave message here for Rick.

If you have questions about the new items, i'll detail them at the seminar and in the upcoming newsletter. If you are coming to the seminar with your laptop, we can put all this on your computer.

What is "BTL" ? 'Better Than Looked' in the horse's previous start. The three new key items -

PROJECTS NEW TOP
FIT AND READY
BTL LAST OUT

This is the threesome of the new exclusive factors. The formulas and methodology remain in the vault. They are a diverse group of algorithms for high impact. You don't have to take my word that they are effective though, test them with ROBOT2.

One interesting thing i noticed about the BTL is that it works much better on young horses than older ones. This might be the case with PROJECTS NEW TOP as well. Do younger horses respond

Robot2 is not finished by any means, i have a lot of functionality to add, user-friendly bells and whistles and a new spot play printout.

I've never used any of the robot versions previous to this but since Robot2 is now giving databases a run for the money, I thought I should jump on the bandwagon and downloaded the complete install version today.

As part of familiarizing myself with Robot2 (BTW, a big "thank you", KM), I placed a month of data in a folder and ran "Learn ALL". That particular computer has as a default printer a program called Acrobat Distiller which "prints" to a pdf file. Robot2 completely hung up and could not deal with that. I have since tried printing with an HP printer and printing to a PDF using a PaperPort, both of which worked fine.

Since I have a way to get the reports into PDF format, the Acrobat problem is not a real issue for me but since others may want to do something similar perhaps it's an item worthy of a spot somewhere near the bottom of the "bug" list.

The printing from any VB application defaults to "LPT1" (Line Port 1, default printer) and all the HTR software programs print in the same manner. There is no setup from my end to optimize the printing output, I let Windows handle it.

Thanks for the insight KM. Must just be a quirk of the Acrobat Distiller.
