I am wondering if instead of including certain sub catagories and angles I would like to exclude certain ones in my spot plays . For example I have a spot play that is 34% with an ROI of 1. 27 but under the sub catagory of big drop is 1 for 18 with an ROI of .18 . I would like to build this play as it is except for horses taking a big drop. I have several plays that I would like to exclude certain catagories to make the play stronger. I probably missed how to accomplish this along the way but would appreciate any help I can get

thanks waldo

I am with you on this.

I would love to have some of these have the option of going both ways.

Of course that may be a programming nightmare for km.

Until km adds those options about the only course of action is to use a database or manually check your selections for eliminations.

Try creating a spot play that gives you a list of those that had a Big Drop.

Print it out and use it as your source for manual elimination from your regular spot play.

Waldo, Rick is correct, to make a negative of every factor in the Robot would turn it into a quagmire.

You will find that almost all of your negative items will overlap with something you CAN remove however. Usually on the Negatives screen.

Test your spot play with Learn All. Then look at the items that match the filters on the NEGATIVE screen such as "BAD CLASS" or any Dist/Surf category. Remove the weak performers and test again. This should decrease the number of losers in other categories as well.

Also Run LEARNX and look at the "biggest losers" section. Nearly all spot plays benefit from tossing out K=9, Bad Jockeys, etc. This in turn, removes most of the losers from factors you can't reverse in the Robot such as "Big Drop in Class".

thanks to you both , I am going to print out all my spot plays then run all the learns and make notes on the printouts so when the plays occur I will know what the negative factors are and run those factors for that card and any horse that comes up with the negatives wont be played . thanks again for your help

KM,

What can I do when I'm testing a very high win% play (fro singles in mutliple race exotics) and nothing comes up under Big Losers in Robot?

LearnX (X = extreme) requires an extreme number of losers or very low Impact Value to make it into the Big Losers category. So if you have a high% play, nothing hit low enough to trigger it.

However, you should run Learn All and locate the negative filters that cause the most losers to your spot plays and eliminate them.
