I am sure this has been covered before but when you edit an existing spot play in Robot 2 it seems to get a new spot play number assigned. How do you edit but preserve the original spot play #.

Right now the only way is to save which will give you a new spot play number.

You can then delete the original spot play and go in (using Windows Explorer) and rename the new spot play to the old spot play name.

The plays are saved as 001.HSP.

Another trick you could try is after saving to a new spot play, delete the old spot play and resave.

The resave should end up using the old spot play number. You can then delete the first save.

I'm adding a RESAVE button to the Spot Play screen, this will allow edit and resave the same play#.

Until then, use Rick's advice. I built the Spot Play save mechanism to be fail-safe in it's current form while we beta test. Although frustrating to have to resave the play to a different Spot#, it won't allow a total meltdown deletion which then loses all the work. So i'm being very careful with that part of the new Robot for now and making sure the user doesn't sacrifice a lot of setup time and accidently delete anything.
