Hi ken, first up i would like to thank you and the many people that make this htr thing tick, you are doing a great job here.
i am enjoying playing around with the Robot II and would like to suggest a couple of hopefully do-able things for your next upgrade that i figure could help our spot plays.with all the talk of the supertrainers and their juice could you add in a "Races with a TR400+ / Races without a TRN400+" tickbox to the Race Filters page, failing that could a "No TRN400+" in the red zone of the "Angles" page do the same?
also on my wish list would be a "Maximum Lifetime Starts " 0 to 999 should about cover it! and if possible increase the "Minimum Lifetime Starts " to the same scale on the "Range Filters / PL-Mode" screen.
lastly can the "Daily Report" have an on/off tick box to give a "All Spot Play" print out of results or "Single Spot Play" as now option, for ease of comparison.
thanks again.

Ken, In the monthly pdf. from June 2004 is an interesting article on TRN400+ for comparison between then and now, and funnily enough about something i have been looking into myself, (using maxvel and doing all burger dump's according to surface)it's about the HTR Consensus.
If i have read things correctly, is the HTR rating still made up as per the rules on page 8 in the same issue and the factors used are the same across all surfaces and distances?
If so could it be altered so that the factors that make up the consensus rating change according to dirt/artificial/grass and sprint/route.

good question Eric
The (K) rating does that - morphs according to the race situation.
The HTR-Consensus was left static on purpose so that the user always understands the generic formula involved and there would be no subjective analysis. That makes the HTR rating ideal for Robot testing because the user can change the parameters (race dist, surf, etc) without changing the algorithm of the factor.
My experience is very strong on this === when I tinker and tweak the formulas trying to adapt them to various race scenarios, it is uncanny how the ROI will drop. For example, you would think that using Fr1 for Turf routes should have a diminished role in the HTR Consensus - and yet when it is removed for Turf Routes, the overall HTR=1 ROI drops several cents. This is probably because the public underbets Fr1 horses in grass routes; they may win less often, but they pay a lot better when they do win (as opposed to dirt sprints for example).

thanks Cent'
as you might have read in previous threads on here, i'm very concerned about accidental overwrite on spot plays, so that's why the current method is totally safe. I guess a message could be installed, "Are you sure you want to replace this play?" before allowing the user to do something he'll regret!
I'll work on it.

Ken ,
Would it be possible to put a simple Get List button exactly like the one in Robot I for print outs.
In Robot II all the print outs on the get my plays for today buttons are way to cluttered with info.
Thanks, :)

Ken,
Is it too late to request that a "No FTS" button be added to RobotII?

Bob - uncheck "Unknowns in Race" (leaving NO Unknowns in Race by itself) from the Race Filters to eliminate FTS
David, only thing i would do is modify the Sort by Play# printout, or just cut it off on the right. Let's see what others think, if they prefer a more abbreviated printout or leave it alone.
