I'm almost finished with the LEARN MORE option and it has a few new features as suggested by users on here =

Layoff Range (previously on the Learn All report)
Age of Horse (great request, i put in the full range, you'll see how 9yrs do at MNR now!)
Complete Shipper Record if you select a single track

Re: that last item, if you choose just one track to test, a complete of all "ship from" tracks will display. Very enlightening, thanks DanG for the idea. for example out of curiosity i ran SAR. and found shippers did terrible from DEL and MTH in large numbers, CRC and KEE were shutouts, WO was a good angle as were a few other tracks that don't get bettors attention.

Later, we'll be able to use this to test invidual trainers and I might even adapt to the test and spot play functions allowing you to extract a particular shipping track.

LEARN MORE also has all the items found in the HTR2 similar report including the odds ranges.

Is it too late to have a range on nFC....say from 79+. or no FC?

7 Jan 09 version of ROBOT2.EXE is up in the Subcribers Zone (http://htr.horsedata.com/HTR_Protected/membersonly.htm).

LEARN MORE function is ready.

This will be the last update prior to the newsletter next week.

Ken,

Thanks for the FC range in learn more. Early indications from my research indicate an FC below 75 is a negative for sure. Would you consider adding FC to the ranges screen?

Regards,
Bob

Bob - Yes, intend to add FC ranger to the Range screen in the future. Read newsletter next week for stats on other elimination factors.

Some of your other requests are likely to end up on the "Connections" filter screen - which will be the final and most difficult phase of the Robot ii - as it will allow the ability to save Trainers, Jockeys, etc. as part of the spot play.

Connections screen might also include various filters dealing with workouts, pedigree, TPG, Wk grades, Trainer Grades, Owners, Sires, etc.

All of these is very tricky to handle and will definitely slow your Robot down as it will have to perform a text search for the names as well as open up the Trainer Text file to compute the stats such as TPG.

Ken,

Thanks!

With all these goodies on our side...how about HTR taking the TOP 5 SPOTS at HPWS & NHC!!!

How about a last K rating filter in any race as we see time and time again the bottom K rating running a creditable race.

You are talking about a PPX type item David, that cannot be implemented into the Robot because of the tremendous file time access it requires.

When you run PPX in order to extract the previous race K, PED, etc., it must open the racefile from the horse's previous race and pull out all the data. You can see the delay this takes in bringing up the PPX screen for just one race - but it would take hours to run a Robot with that kind of intense file handling/

sorry
