When I try to install, I get the " there is an existing program prompt--go to Add/Remove in your control panel". If I remove the old version of the program will that wipe out my database and spot plays?

I am running XP.

Uninstalling does not remove racefiles or spotplays.

The easiest way to upgrade is to just download the new version of HTR2.exe into the c:\htr directory and replace the old copy.

Just make sure the download size is over 3MB.

You can delete the old version of HTR2.exe first or rename it before downloading the current version of HTR2.exe.

The only problem I have in downloading HTR2.exe and replacing the old version is sometimes I get an incomplete download. When that happens the size of the download is normally less than 200KB.

Trying to install the new HTR on my Win 98 laptop.

When I fire it up, it starts loading all the files, then, after a minute or so, I get an Illegal Operation message: HTR2 caused an invalid page default in module OLEAUT32.DLL at 0167:6536b6al.

Any ideas what is going on?

Thanks

You are still in the stone ages.

Time for an upgrade.

I will email you some files that may help.

Did this just happen when you replaced the old HTR2.exe with the new HTR2.exe?

Yes.

I think I have it now....it is up and running!

Thanks, Rick. I don't use the laptop too often.

Last time was the seminar in 2006!
