Very cool SA webcam, thanks for the link dehere (yes, that's the training track on the inside, too narrow for racing) wife says it hasn't rained for awhile in SoCal, it's sunny there and nice outside right now, but another storm looming tonight. Beautiful day here in Vegas too.

Lots and lots of players entered both tourneys, either in their own name or surrogates playing here at the Orleans. So it is impossible to cross reference everyone, but I'm sure Wright' list will show at least 50 dual entries in the same name.

With SA and OP running, i'll be staying in the room awhile and making my move late. One of our entries is in about 60th place with nearly 1000 points. That's a long way back from the leader with 2100, but maybe we can finish in the top 50 and get some cash.

One player may have been DQd at the Red Rock for seat switching - but I talked to Mel there last night and he said their group did not experience too much difficulty with communicating and moving around to discuss their picks among the 5 entries they have. Good luck to all our HTR friends there, today should see the standings do a flip flop with a much larger menu of tracks and higher quality racing.

Red Rock is a fabulous hotel complex. I encourage everyone to get with it and qualify next year to be involved, as it is a special experience and the qualifiers are treated like royalty and the rooms are elegant.

It was a very moving moment on Thursday night when they announced the young soldier who had qualified from Afghanistan, we all applauded and many people came up and shook his hand.

Rich Goodall is gonna win it - wow - huge congrats to he and Sally, two of the nicest people on the tournament circuit, he emailed me last night and said "used HTR only, didn't even open the Form" - that was awful nice of him to relate that and make me feel good!

$500,000 - that's impressive, i'm going to the awards and then rush home, i'll post any news from the scene

Looks like Judy Wagner made a big move to the top 20

No one did any good that I'm aware of at the Orleans at HWS, the highest HTR total i heard of was around 1400, and he'll be lucky to make top 50.

back later with the finish

Great going Judy Wagner and Daven Turner for some come from behind heroics to grab some cash late in the contest too.

I'm going to the awards dinner now and will report back later.

HOORAY for Richard and his wife and tournament partner Sally Wang Goodall, they are wonderful people who we see at all the events through the year.

Hi gang...

Great time at the Orleans. Finished 119th...money ended at 80th. I had 1240, he had 1375. That's $13 in mutuel prices. A $9 winner and $5 place for me in the last would have done it. I hit the $22 in 10th at Santa Anita, and Ken, Ernie and Ronnie, were cheering and steering it home. Had I played the #3 in the last, I'd have made it, but guessed I needed to go for more money and played the longshot #6.

A search party with flashlights has been dispatched to the SA backstretch. Next of kin, will probably need to be notified as he died leaving the backstretch I believe.

Two mistakes and a bad beat would have given me $2507.40.

Will try to get back in July.

My new handicapping tool "Context Modelling" with Maxvel is working ALMOST like a charm, and is still a work in beta testing.

Had fun kibitizing with the guys/gals.

As soon as Tommy C stops going all in with 8-3 offsuit in poker...he'll be winning the WSOP.

It was great HTR'ers...

Lets do it again, SOON!
