The forecast calls for 40% chance of showers this Tues-Sun in Arcadia.
Has anyone a good feel for the likelihood of a switch to HOL Cushion or Cushion and Turf should the area get an inch or two during that period.
I can't resist the pun knowing the situation is fluid.

It takes quite an effort to do this and much more than a one day notice.
They have racing today and they are off Tues and Wed. Imagine if the Sun was shining on Thursday and they made a hasty decision to switch those days?
It is much more than switching venues and they would probably have to decide today to do it on Thursday.

NJ is right, they'll have to cancel if it is heavy rain. I'm not aware of a contigency plan for HOL now. Can't use the soggy turf either. Would have a major effect on the tournament for sure.
Long term forecast for Thurs - Sat is a bit unclear and with 30% - 50% chance of rain, could mean light drizzle and they'll probably be able to go in it. But if it pours down continuously, they'll have to suspend.
My experience with the weather forecast here is that we usually get muich less rain than predicted, rarely do we get more than expected. This is drought period, expectations are not being met with precipitation.

I have to say your post was very prophetic Mark. If Track Management thought like you they would be running races at Hollywood right now.

We heard lots of rumors, including moving the Sunshine Miillions to GG, but weather bad there too and shipping all those horses logicistically difficult.
SA may have tried to cover up today to get the track in some kind of shape for Saturday, but who knows. What a disaster if it doesn't come off at all.
I hope we at least get OP to run ....
