Hi HTR users, just signed up yesterday. While I have used many types of database programs in the past this is my first time using a HDW style software. After looking over several and then using the HTR demo and reading some of the manuals for a few days I decided to go with HTR. There was just too many things and features within the software I like to try out and combined with the good support I hear Ken gives plus how he releases a monthly newsletter made it an easier decision.
Been pouring over as many user manuals as I can plus still need to go back seven years of newsletters to catch up and learn all I can about HTR. Read much so far and many of those past newsletters seem interesting.
So far have sent him some emails on questions I had and always got a quick response. And asked and gave him about a couple of suggestions I had. The main one which appeared to me right away after using the Robot was being able to save a Spot Play as a user-defined title. Such as instead of just calling it Spot Play1* you can call it AQU-DIRT-FR3=1*. Another one could be named DIRT-SPRINTS-BO*, etc.
He said that most HTR users use saved spot plays but never had this request and thought it is a good one and he will ask some other users. How you guys keep track of so many spot plays based on just numbers is beyond me. With software I used in the past this is how I always saved them by some specific name given to each so I can easily find, change and remember something about each one. I think this would just be an easier way to save them and/or still have the option of simply saving them by generic numbers. What do you guys think?
Also is there a limit on how many spot plays can be saved? I see up to 99 is listed which I hope is correct but thought I read somewhere about a 30 number maximum?
