My handicapping program is in access 2003 and I use windows Xp.
The tables i use are HX4 & 5, Trainer out etc. I want to add HXV to my table list so i can use some of those fields in my query and report. How do i go about add ing HXV to my table list?
Thanks

Ed-
use the HXV export in HTR2...go into access and right click in the white area and choose import....locate the All_HXV.txt file in the c:\HTR directory. Walk thru the import wizard to create your table.

Or wait a week or so.
MikeDee included HXV in the new template that will be coming out when the new HTR2.exe is available for download.

Thanks
I was able to import HXV into my table that feeds my report.
I then added it to my query that feeds my report. Made a relationship.
When I went into my report i got an error message. NPP2AGO could refer to more than one table listed on your form clause of your SQL statement. In my query i have several tables that were formed by a relationship. HX5 and HXV have the same ago info in them. I then went into my query and added HX5 prefix in front of my field. hx5.npp1ago. I still get the same error code.
Im confused because HXV and HX4 field names are different.
If i havent made myself clear let me know
Any advise would be appreciate

You are getting the error message because the field name is the same in both the hx5 and the hxv tables
there is a row just under the field name labeled table if you put the cursor in that box a small down arrow will appear to the right click on it and then select the table that you want to use for that field.
You need to do this for each field with a duplicate name. In your case their at 10 fields with duplicate names nnp1ago through npp0ago. You will need to specify which table in the table row for all of them.

Thanks for all the help. Im making progress but its slow.
Now in my report i get the error enter parameter value for nodds and several other fields.
I deleted nodds and several other fields out of my report that is why im getting this error.. Then I deleted them out of the query that feeds my report and i still get that message.
What can i do?
thanks

Ed---
Are those fields being used in a formula somewhere in your report in another field...I believe that would throw you an error as well.....
...are you back home now?

I was able to find those fields in a formula in my query and that fixed some of the problem.
Im still getting the error for only three fields now IN MY REPORT NODDS1-3. Here is the confusing part. I deleted those 3 fields out of my report. But in my reprot they wenent listed as NODDS1-3, they were listed as TEXT687, 689, AND 693. I know this means they were used some place else, but i only used them in one place. Why they change from NODDS1-3 TO TEXT I DONT KNOW. Any suggestions.
BRIS TOURNMENT IS THIS WEEKEND

Aren't reports fun.
You can import the report and query into an empty database and email it to me and I will take a look and see if I can find the problem.

Thanks for all the help. I was able to find my problem by following your suggestions and making a copy of my report and deleting out fields till i found the problem.
Now i have a new problem. When i have more than 9 horses in a race sometimes ill print 9 horses on one sheet of paper and the 10 horse only on another sheet of paper. THIS IS WHAT I WANT.
Other times ill print 9 horses on the first sheet of paper then the 10 horse on the next sheet of paper , but then ill starting printing the next race on that sheet of paper.
What i want is 9 horses on one sheet of paper and the remaining horse from that race on the next sheet of paper. Then start an new sheet for the next race.
