i deleted all the tracks in htr. then i imported some new tracks, but i still see hol in my exporter. i cant get it hol out of my exporter. how can i get hol out of my exporter?

Did you delete the ALL_HX?.txt file?

If you deleted all the HOL files that would be my guess where the problem is.

The exporter creates an ALL_HX?.txt file if one doesn't exist.

It just appends records to it if it does exist.

my all_hx?.txt are clean except in my restored files associated with my maxtor external hard drive. iwhen i export the exported just skips over hol. ill keep trying.

Go into the actual directory...C:\HTR
Manually delete any racefiles that end with .HOL....I once had one file that refused to delete thru the program, but was easily deleted by clicking on him and hitting the delete button on your keyboard.

I need more detail to what the problem actually is.

when everything is deleted out of my htr2 program and i go to my htr2 exporter, hol is the only track listed. if i try to export it, it wont export. if i download 3 new tracks, they will appear in my exporter along with hol. when i export, the exporter will export all the new tracks and when it comes hol it will skip it. when i go into access all tracks are there except hol.
if i look in c:\htr there are no tracks in there.
if you still dont understand me, please say so and ill try again.

OK, the HOL files that are not in C:\htr are showing up in the exporter but are not being exported.

First thing I would check is in Windows Explorer under Tools, Folder Options, View.

Make sure that Show hidden files and folders is checked.
Make sure Hide extensions for known file types is unchecked.

Click OK.

Then check C:\htr to see if there is any change.

After i did what you told me the hol file appeared. i deleted it and all is ok.
should i change those settings back or let them as is?

If you change it back you won't see the HOL extensions. Plus some of the other track extensions.

I started with DOS and am use to seeing the extensions. I think the extensions should be turned on by default. But MS thinks otherwise.

Makes it much easier to find and manage files.
