I am buying a new laptop tomorrow and I getting my "old" one ready to go on Ebay. However, I thought maybe I would post up here first to see if anyone is interested.....here is the description.....
It is a Presario 3000, Pent 4 processor, 2.4 GHz, a 60 gig HD, DVD player, CD-R-RW burner, wireless network card internal, has a phone jack and a network jack, a video-out jack, 4 USB ports, as well as a firewire port. Ohhh did I mention a 16” screen….? Larger than most laptops. I also purchased less than a month ago a brand new battery (retailed for $120!!).
I am asking $750 for this machine. If anyone here purchases it I will probably leave my XP Office suite on it as I have moved to 2003. Drop me an email. Buyer pays for shipping...and no I will not gouge you for shipping, but insurance will be a must! I have seen what the Post Office can do!!
Any ?? or inquiries please email me back....this is first come-first served and the offer is being made to the people I work with as well!

watcha buyin' Donnie?
I just picked up a new Toshiba Tablet - and it is really great for paperless handicapping. The ability to handwrite notes on the screen and save them for future use is really great. The Toshiba has dual core processors and is really faster than my desktop. Anyway, just a thought.

Picked up a HP Pavilion zd8230us, with a 3.4 GHz processor, 100 gig HD, 1 gig RAM, a 17" BriteView screen, and a TV tuner card so the unit will act as a TiVo unit while I have it at home. And yes, it is more powerful than my desktops at home as well. I have had my eye on it since Xmas. I actually bought the docking station a month ago....I knew I wanted this machine. Hope the new one picks ponies as well as this one did!

Donnie,
The quickest way to get us "geeks" jealous is talk about your hot new laptop. Sounds like a dream! Greased Lightning! ;-)
Do you remember the "computer guy" skit from Saturday Night Live. In one of them Jimmy Fallon tells the other people in the scene that his technical joke would have been funny if they knew what it meant.
I hear you Mac Laptop Daddy! And I smell what you are cooking! Why not let me take a ride on that keyboard. In the words of the computer guy..."MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE!"

Jim...
I tend to like my laptops with big screens and fast processors....the price I pay is battery life....but I can live with that....it is the reason they let you buy more than one!! When at a tourney it is plugged in anyway. But it's nice to be on a plane and watch an "in-flight" movie on my laptop....the ladies tend to hate the fact I really like pornos!!! :D
