If you read this bbs often, it is amazing how many 'temporary internet files' will be stored on your computer if you use Internet Explorer. It generate hundreds of them and this can cause slow down and strange stuff to happen on here.

Others have posted this tip before, it is worth repeating if you are having problems with the bbs =

If you have high-speed Internet take the following steps to clean them out regularly:
= Open Internet Expl
= Click TOOLS from the top menu
= Click INTERNET OPTIONS
= Click Delete "Temporary Internet Files" (including Off Line content checkbox)

Don't take this step if you have dialup because the temporary file helps to load web pages much faster. High speed users won't notice any difference.

The BBS has been working better recently for me.

If I could only transfer that to my handicapping . . . :)

Or,
Click tools, internet options, advanced tab and check the box that reads
Empty temporary internet files when browser is closed.

Clears them everytime you close your browser.

Thanks Bean! That takes care of that problem - good tip - I had no idea that option existed.

Should be checked by all high-speed users, the temp files are there to help rev up dial-up browsing and aren't really necessary if the connection is fast.
