What happens to DB when race w/o results

I want to put into the DB today's races which have no results or charts to I can see today's plays. When I enter the results and export to the DB does it then fill in the missing parts of the file or does it kick out that update? I don't want to screw up what I have but I'm not sure how to best do this.

Don't mix races with and without results.

You either need to create a 2nd table(s) or a 2nd database.

there is a point to keep both though. As Fred4now picked up on. If you are running queries based on a rating (ie fr1) you are very likely getting results on horses you would never bet because they were not fr1 before he scratches.

This of course pertains only to people who make their bet based on MLO or are not working the scratches all day.

You can do this, and it is worth while if you are working queries based on ratings.
