Wed I had a power outage while I had a TradeStation program running on the computer. When I restarted the computer the data files were toast.
This was the 2nd time this had happened to me so I figured it was time to take action.
I went looking for a program that I could use to automate the backup of the data directory that was toasted by the power outage.
I found just the trick and it turned out to be free.

It does more than what I wanted, but I am happy that it does what I was looking for. I started out setting it up to do a backup at a certain time each day. That worked well but it occured to me that if I wasn't careful it could be trying to do a backup while the files were still open. So I switched to just having it do a backup at logon.
Sweet and simple.
