The Oct 2001 Newsletter contains various Late Speed Velocity tests using PL5, older horses only, both genders, & all tracks. For 9 furlong turf races, the composite top 2 Fr3 horses had a win pct of 34.7 with a $1.04 ROI. Using the same test parameters, the composite top 2 S/P horses had a win pct of 37.5 & a $1 ROI. I'm wondering:
(1)Whether combining FR3 & S/P in some fashion(requiring that a horse be 1 or 2 in both, for example) might improve the results?
(2)What the results of the same test would be for PL4,PL3,PL2,&PL1?
(3)What the results would be if the test was limited to Sat/Sun, the days when it is most likely that the rail will be on the hedge?
Thks in advance for any insight anyone can provide.
