I want every horse in a race to print on 1 or 2 sheets of paper, but I dont want part of 2 race printing on top part of 3 race because there were to many horse in 2 to fit on one page. Usually it would print 13 horses from my report on one sheet of paper then print 1 horse or 14th horse on the next sheet of paper and then the next race would go on a new sheet of paper.
I have my sorting and groupings ---nrace--keep together set to whole group.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks

I am sure some one else can help you.

But if it turns out they don't solve your problem, send me a copy of your db with your report and an example race that splits wrong and I will see what I can do.

Delete all the other races and compact and repair before sending.

Ed-
sometimes there just will not be enough room to put 14 horses on one sheet. Couple things I would check:::::::

1. Are you using as little room as possible in your header areas? Report header kept to a minimum, Page Header kept to a minimum, etc.
2. Is your detail area as tight as you can make it....all fields up against the top of the area and then the floor pulled tight up against the field boxes.
3. When all else fails, go to File to Page Setup and make the top margin .50 inch and the bottom margin .50 inch.
4. Sometimes Access will use a field box that is taller than need be....click on a field and hold down the shift key as you press the up arrow...this will shorten that field that is selected. Click in the left margin directly to the left of your fields in the detail area to select all the fields at once and again, hold down the shift key while using your up arrow to resize!

Hope this helps...if not, you got my number!!

you might check your printer settings too. I"m not sure if your driver offers fit to one page and if access will configure the grouping that way.

Other option is to send it to word and manually configure it.
