All,
Does anyone still have their flyer from the Gold Coast indicating the room rates for that week of the seminar and tournament?
If so, would you mind posting them up?
Any wives/gf's going?
Thanks,
Cliff

Geez Cliff with your winnings I thought you were paying for all HTR players that week:)
My wife is Barb (LeakyEyes) and I are going but she won't let me bring my girlfriend. If I remenber right the rooms are about 49-59 dollars for the tournament players.......John

Room rates. I believe it's 69.00 Sunday thru Thur and 75.00 Friday and Sat. That's 10.00 more per night than the normal rate for horse players but if you are in the touney you are special and they want to treat you that way.
Sue will be there Thur night, why, you trying to get a date? :D

The wife and I will both be there, along with 2 new friends we have just made over the past few weeks. He enjoys horseracing and works with computers as well.....and here I thought I was the only one from Iowa who did that!! He said last night he actually thought he would like to attend the seminar sessions!
Can anyone top a foursome? :D

Just wondering if there will be an "HTR discount" as offered in previous years at the Stardust?

Kane,
Here's another one for you for those lonely nights:

FWIW, Gold Coast has a big crowd coming in the weekend of the 17th and 18th. Suites only per web site registration and a call to reservations. I'm assuming they've got a bunch of rooms blocked off for the horsey players.

Rooms are very cheap year 'round at the Gold Coast, especially Sun - Thurs. Last year the rate was $49/night for tournament players and they blocked them off for sure because I got in at the last minute for the contest and got a room even though the hotel was listed as "full" that weekend. I'm not going to push my luck with the seminar at this point and ask for comped rooms, got the last meeting room as it was thanks to TommyC making some calls for me. We need to show them a good turnout, lots of betting action and just hope to get invited back in 2005.
Gold Coast tournament is the PERFECT format for HTR players. Win and Place, 15 optional plays per day, 9 tracks to choose from. A major headache if you have to grab that heavy burden of 4 DRF editions and go to the room and study thousands of pp's all night. We prefer to hang out late and have some fun, especially across the street at the Palms - those longshots will still show up on our printouts the next morning :p
