Had a near death experience this week. Was fooling around with creating a FR1 differential (like the espeed dif in impact) with vba. I was in the middle of running a module and the pc locked up on me. No apparent reason just one of those window kinda lockups where you have to hit the power on/off.
Had a panic attack when I brought the db up and Access said that my db was an unrecognizable format. tried the repair db routine....no luck. My db was dead.
Lucky for me I had just made a backup on 7/2 and was able to get back in business without to much of a problem.
First time my db has blown up on me and if I didn't have that backup I would be starting over from scratch.
If you have stuff in your db that would be real hard to re-construct.....my advice is back'er up on a regular basis!!!!
