Why doe ATR keep poping up on my screen after I have made it invisible. Have tried rebooting.
My internet connection is a cable modem and seem to be a little slow today. While I was typing this it has poped up 6 times at least. I must be doing something wrong BUT what. Sure is a pain when you trying to cap a race.
Hope you can help.

Sorry about the problems.

This is first I heard of any problems with the Invisible mode. I think it may be related to your slow internet connection but do not know how as all display commands should be suppressed when in Invisible mode. I will investigate further.

I have been offline for several minutes due to the cable company. I am sure it is a problem with my internet connection. I will keep you posted.
Thanks for the getting back to me.

Ronnie,

I recommend you restart your computer when ATR does not work as advertised. Restarting the computer will correct problems such as memory corruption or low windows resources.

If problems continue after restart, you can help me find the problem with the following steps:

1) When you start ATR, type in the word: debug
Type it in the empty text box that appears in the first screen of ATR. This text box is in the bottom left side of the screen in between the Internet button and the Exit button.

2) This will put ATR in a mode where it saves errors for this ATR session to the file: \PITZ\Errors.txt in the ATR home directory. The default for the ATR home directory is C:\Program Files\At The Races. After running ATR, if you find that an Errors.txt file has been created, send a copy of the Errors.txt file to garypitz@hotmail.com

Pizza,

I posted in anouther thread about having the same problems.

I'll try the debug and let you know what happens.

I'm also on cable but it's been moving pretty fast these days.

I have the same problem when I'm on the ehorse site and I have it minimized. It keeps popping up on it's own. I just called, and they're going to look into it-- very annoying.

Victor, Hurrikane,

I am making some changes to the ATRproForHTR code to try to suppress this annoyance. As I could not reproduce the problem on my system, I am not sure that I have the solution.

If you are still experiencing the problem, you can download a beta version from http://www.ezsnap.com/gary/ATRforHTR.ZIP

Please let me know if it helps.

Downloading this version is not recommended for ATRproForHTR users who have not experienced problems. This version has no other new features.

Gary

Forgot to mention that it is recommended that you use the MAKE ATR INVISIBLE button to minimize the ATR form.

Pizzaman,
Sorry about taking so long getting back to you about this problem.
Until I downloaded the last upgrade I was still have the same problem of the screen popping up when using the button to make ATR Invisiable. It would only stop doing that only when using the min button in the top right of window and not the other button. I thought it might be a problem with my cable company because they were having a lot of trouble when I first alerted you of this problem.
My system is Intel P-4 2.4 GHz with 1.0 GB of memory.
Windows XP pro
When I am Handicapping I have the following programs running at the same time and sometimes more
ATR
HTR
Access
Crystal reports up to 5 different report and make many new ones through the day
YouBet
and allways have a internet brouser running for different reasons.

It seems to work fine with your new upgrade and I am happy with ATR again but I must admitte that it was a real pain it the you know what for a while.

Thanks
