Thanks Charles that's very interesting. A contest like that is definitely illegal to run on the Internet within the USA because of all the state regulations and the wire act. That is why the contests and tourneys you see on the Internet must be free to enter. I checked into all that beause I was considering offering an NTRA qualifier as a prize in our contest, but I couldn't afford to do it as publicity angle and needed to charge everyone, but that's not legal. So these guys are probably off-shore and have a link to one of the Caribbean or Latin American sportsbooks. Pretty good prizes for a $100 entry fee, but where is the money going? Robert Bertolucci is mentioned as the winner in their previous contest, he is a regular at the Nevada tournament circuit and in fact was in Don Marconi's group of 4 when competing on the last day at the Reno Hilton tournament.

C_M,
I asked them to email me a list of the winners (and payoffs) for their last tournament and have yet to receive it.
My first request got some gobbledygook about it being posted on the web site soon. How long can that take, 5 minutes or so, if you know how to use FrontPage?
Personally, I'll pass until more info is forthcoming. Kind of bugs me that you have to be a "member" to get any more info on even the next contest.

p.s. - Nice "pops" in the Winter Tournament!

Thanks LB
I like the idea but I just do not know anything about them.
Maybe a few months or more we will know more.
