Hello Boys,
Hey RonnieH & DaveT, count me in. Already have my seat at LV but 10 big ones is
enough to tempt me out of cottage. That and a day off work.

Turfway was a good time talking with RonnieH and 100Aces....but unfortunately the closest I came with my price horses was one 38-1 place horse. The rest of the day was fairly calm. I hope RonnieH and 100Aces did better than my pitiful showing, however when we were packing up the tents I didnt see anyone heading to the contest table to pick up a check.
Best of luck to those headed to Vegas (100Aces, TommyC and Cliff...hope I didnt miss anyone?). Hope to see you at the NTRA next year. Time to take a break from the contests and enjoy the new pc and high speed internet access..wheee :)

Sorry Boys,
No good news to report. It was three up, three down for HTR at Turfway.
No excuses, we were all in the same soup, but the track was awful. There
had been a couple of days of canceled races just prior to the tournament.
I heard several contestants opine that they should go to the alternate
venue - FG. I mean no slight against the folks at Turfway. The event was
well run overall.
Considering the way the current meet has been running - lots of longshots -
and because there was no odds cap everyone had a shot right to the end.
As for myself, just two wins and two place hits for the ten race program.
But for a couple of wrong "pick 'ems" I woulda, coulda, shoulda done much
better. Since qualifying at AP I've been 12th of 169 at Hoosier followed by
three poor showing at Hawthorne, Keeneland and Turfway. But yes, it is
still FUN. Wish there was another one next weekend.
Congratulations are in order for PaulN who, though not an HTR user, is known
to several of you, is a nice fellow and posts here on occasion. Paul qualified at
Hoosier.
DaveT and RonnieH, it was good to see you guys again. Thanks for the well wishes.
OK, four weeks to regroup then on to Las Vegas.
Merry Christmas everyone! You guys and girls are the best!
