Many changes including several major new features have been added to latest version of AT THE RACES. Version 1.19 can be accessed from a link at the AT THE RACES homepage: http://homebased2.com/atr/at_the_races.htm

(1) Trifecta Payoffs:
Use the new TRIFECTA SCREEN to see estimated trifecta payoffs and create dutched trifecta bets. Clicking on the action cells allow you to quickly create box, wheel or part wheel trifecta plays. These estimated trifecta payoffs are calculated based on the current distribution of bets in the exacta and win pools and are adjusted based on other factors including morning line odds and field size. These trifecta payoffs are not based on the current trifecta pool, as that data is not available.

(2) Spot Play Alarms:
AT THE RACES will sound a visual and an audio alarm for spot plays. This feature is useful for players looking for value plays – for horses that go off at higher odds than the player thinks they should be at. When the track and race for each spot play comes up, then the horses program number is highlighted on the AT THE RACES screen. If the criteria of minutes to post and acceptable odds for that horse are also met, then a window pops up and bugle music is played. (There is an option to turn off the bugles!) This feature has been requested by a number of users so that they do not have to constantly monitor the tote. The spot plays can be created within an ATR screen, or by importing a list of alarms from a ".txt" file that the user creates manually or from his own software.

(3) Tote Odds:
Clicking on the new action cell changes the display on the ODDS SCREEN from "by-the-minute" odds to "tote odds" and back. "Tote odds" are calculated as the odds for each minute using the total of the bets up to that minute - as would have been seen on the track tote board for that flash. Switching between the two displays emphasizes how invisible the "by-the-minute" action can be to horse players that only have access to the tote board odds.
