For queries I break my claiming races into 2 classes; low: <=95 & hi: 96+.
I also break queries by field size: 8 horses & less or 9 horses & more.
I was wondering how others handle this.....
Carl: Send me an e-mail in case I send ESB some $------I need your info so U get the $50.

Thanks Mt. Ken. E-mail sent.
I use a few Par filters, in them I break around 99-100. I suspect within a year I'll be out of them (at least on the dirt, turf maybe not), in review I have found my par filters to be mostly backfitting of low percentage plays.
On the other hand, I am liking field size filters more and more, and generally go with >=7 as a limitation, although one of my longshot turf plays I am fine with >=9.
And of course the opposite is also true sometimes with field size. On a day like today with lots of scratches, a few of my ev1 plays without field size filters are having fun picking off 5-1 MLO types bet down to 8-5 front running types like sitting ducks after scratches. Three for three with this type so far (DEL r4 h7, FE r2 h3, PHA r5 h5). At least they are winning and giving me some "free bets" for later in the day.

From time to time I looked at pars but I've nevr come up witha play of any real value by grouping on pars.
I exclude all races with fields <=6 don't wager on them or put them in queries. When I group fields I group 7-8-9 and 10-11-12. I find the results vary quite a bit by field size. win % larger fiedls usually quite a bit lower in large fields.
Hey Ken the tribe beat NY today. They lose 2 of 3 in Cleve and win 2 of 3 in NY...go figure

Carl: Thanks, I'm still debating where to go or see what happens with Winticket when they head to Oregon. I may call sometime. I do a lot of 1-2 min. to post bets & like just clicking them in on the computer.
Mike: Big hit for Einar in the 9th...How did Thome not score from 2nd on a double? Any time the Tribe takes a series from the Yanks it's time for the bubbly ( a cold one anyway!) One of Nagy's all time best & just when they are desperate for pitching again.

I have tried with little success to do that. The only thing I've seen significant is the ole Georgeo Special. Something like Par>=104, T/J>=21, PSCAN1 or something...

Pscn =1 and ACL < 3, Glen. High hit rate with low roi but makes money.

Meant to state something on field size in prior post but had a senior moment. Early this year reviewed my two best spot plays for year 2000. Both derived nearly all their profit from field sizes of greater than 10. Would have been better off to "pass" all races with size of 10 or less and put that money on the big fields.
