Does anyone know of software that can take the feed from one of the on-line pools like the racing channel or super tote and bring that into other sofware packages on your PC?

Mike,

A buddy and I wrote some crude programs to trap the info from the racing channel feed and perform some manipulations on it. Our therory was that smart money was hiding money in the exacta pools rather that the win pool. So we were looking at exactas that were paying less than the win odds were showing. Like everyting else it worked sometimes. Plus you had to sit in front of the computer all day.

Hi Chuck,

I am thinking that I would like to make the odds and pool totals available to me in Access on a real time basis, but don't know how to go about it. Are there any books on this or any canned software programs that do it? How did you go about writing th interface

When I wager at home I'm sitting in front of the PC anyway.

Mike,

Like I said we did it rather crudely. We just saved the exacta page as a text file out of the browser and wrote some qbasic programs that spit out what we needed. You probably could get fancy and write some VB code to read the URL directly but we sort of lost interest in it.

I saw something on the paceadvantage site about something that could input bets into YOUBET automatically. You could check there. I think it was cherry picker or something like that.

Mike....the Cherry Picker mentioned is a book for sale on how to write your own
macros to monitor bris-tote and submit bets if price is right.

The guy selling it has a website where he sells neural-net picks of the
Texas racing circuit. Can't find the url but think it was posted on
PA board a long time ago.

If you can't find it let me know and am pretty sure I can track it down.

I remember reading about Cherry Picker a few months ago on PA's site. It's main drawbacks (for me) was that it only worked on the Youbet site & you could only follow 1 track at a time.
