Glen or Carl...or anyone with a large database and roi calc

can you run the k1 horses at PRM.
also the k1-2 htr1-2 at PRM

first queries I've seen show a pos roi in place and show and a neg in the win.

Hurrikane,

I'm in the process of rebuilding the dB. Don't have PRM in yet. Should have it done in a couple of days. Hopefully, Carl has it avialable.

thanks Glen,
I did find a problem with my data
Now it shows pos roi in w/p/s wondering if it is short term or has held up over time.
Not sure if it will be the same PL1. the modeler has radically different results on pl1 and pl5 for this.

Hurrikane,

Are you O.K. now or do you still want some PRM run?

I have PRM from July to ? last, or this year. There is a thing about PRM where they change quality of horse downward big time in the fall. Please let me know what dates if any you would like run and I'll see what I can do.

Thanks for the post back about the calculator. Can you send me one that works on the basic HTR? That would be easier for me than changing field names (which I could do). As I remember when I merged HTR db and IMPACT db I used the place and show from Impact, the win from HTR.

Carl

Carl,
yeah..just curious about the k1s at PRM..I'm showing a lot of juice there and have been playing with success but wondered if it was a short lived thing or maybe something consistent.

I can change the roi calc and shoot it to you. Send my your email

thanks Carl. that is fine
about the roi report for the nWIN message

Following the old addage of give a man a fish and he eats for a day..teach a man to fish and he drinks for a lifetime....

open the roi report in design mode.
select the wins box with the formula
right click and open properties
the databox comes up...click on the data tab. In control source you will see the formula it uses to calc the roi
whereever you see nWIN change it to nWIN$
check all boxes in the win column...some formulas are longer than you can see so be sure to move the cursor all the way across to get all of the entries.
then save and run. If you still get the message you have missed an nWIN pointer somewhere.
Let me know if that fixes it. I don'thave the p/s roi at home..just at the office so I can send Mon if you can't get it fixed.

Thanks Hurrikane.

I made the changes you recommended, adding $ sign, works good now.

I still can't get column line up right here, I have tried "quote" and "list" in square brackets, still nowhere with the line up stuff.

So I attached my PRM query. It does show less loss for show K1, hope that helps. The data is last years.
