I think anyone getting a new computer for Christmas with WinXp installed will be disappointed if you plan on doing any heavy exporting.

I just went back to Win2000 after running WinXP for 2-3 months. HTR4MSAC and Impact exporing runs like a snail under WinXP. Ditto about the HTR2001 exporter under WinXP.

Until Ken gets everything running in HTR2001/2 and figures out why the exporting under WinXP goes so slow, I don't plan on going back to WinXP.

You can really notice the difference between the WinXP and the other Win operating systems in this area. I didn't have much trouble with WinXP in all other areas.

I haven't dealt with WinXP personally but I have had a dozen calles from friends and family about everything from printers that don't have drivers ready(new HPs) to not reading cards..

Anouther Gates fopah(see if you can figure out that pun)..or just a regular 'Microsoft will let the public do the Beta test' theory. You gotta love em...all us lemmings keep running over the cliff.

Ken...ever think about Linux?

re: New "XP" Security Problem

Donnie's link above may not work for those who are not excite.com members. Here's another page that describes the problem and contains a link, at the end of the article, for Microsoft's security "patch".

On a more humerous note (for those who AREN'T running XP), here's a message board post I recently came across:
